mooFlair

mooFlair is an FLV video player superstar. This app lets you search online video sites like YouTube, BlipTV and more then watch them in the seperate player window. You can also access each video sites range of RSS feeds for latest videos or top favourites and watch from there. Wow I hear you say is that all? Now the really cool part is that thanks to AIR bridging the gap between the desktop and the web you can build up your own FLV library and create your own compilations of videos in playlists. You can also watch your chosen videos in full screen.
Like a video on YouTube? Well you can download the vid from the web to your own computer and into a playlist. Remember that playlists can be a mixture of local and remote videos, smart. The app has lots of functionality and I’m just beginning to scratch the surface.
So go and have lots of viewing fun, this is one smart AIR application that will keep you coming back for more.
Apparently the apps developer Patrick Tai originally created it for the Adobe AIR derby back in September 2007. He has since enhanced the application to what you see today.
Design eye
Nice theme and the menus are responsive and well laid out. It has custom chrome with the buttons on the left (I guess he is a Mac user!). Relevant iconography assists the overall design. Once small issue is the white text on the light grey background for some of the combo boxes can be a little hard to read in some light, but that is a minor gripe.
Technical eye
Built using Adobe Flex the app makes use of the many video sharing web sites API’s and RSS feeds.
